Run Codex CLI through Zukko, billed from your balance. GPT and Claude models work; GLM models don't work in Codex.
You need: Codex CLI installed, a fetch_... key (create one) and a balance from $1 (top up).
1Installer
- Run the file: on macOS unzip it and double-click
codex-setup-macos.command; on Windows opencodex-setup-windows.vbs. - Paste your
fetch_...key. - When you see
Codex configured for Zukko, you're done. Your old settings are backed up.
macOS won't open the file? Right-click → Open. Windows shows SmartScreen? More info → Run anyway.
2Manually
~/.codex/config.toml (Windows: %USERPROFILE%\.codex\config.toml):
toml
model = "gpt-5.6-sol"
model_provider = "zukko"
model_reasoning_effort = "high"
[model_providers.zukko]
name = "zukko"
base_url = "https://api.zukko.pro/v1"
wire_api = "responses"
requires_openai_auth = true~/.codex/auth.json:
json
{ "OPENAI_API_KEY": "fetch_..." }Run codex and type "Hi". To use another model, change it in config.toml or at launch: codex -m gpt-5.6-luna.
3If it doesn't work
| What you see | What to do |
